ViV Wine & Spirits needed to authenticate and trace every bottle it sells, from production through to the collector or retailer who receives it. Fulcronix built an automated NFC tagging system paired with a mobile app and web platform, replacing manual, error-prone tag configuration with a secure, scalable process for product verification and supply chain tracking.

Manual Verification vs. Provable Product Identity
Verifying authenticity and tracking provenance for premium wine and spirits is not a problem solved with a sticker and a spreadsheet. ViV needed to program ST25 NFC tags at scale without the manual configuration errors that come with doing it by hand, and it needed a central system to manage inventory, authenticate products, detect tampering, and track every bottle across the supply chain.
The goal was simple to state and hard to build: every bottle secured, verified, and traceable from production to the end customer.
Fulcronix built the tagging infrastructure and the software platform around it as one connected system; not two projects bolted together.
Project Highlights
Automated, Secure NFC Tag Programming
Fulcronix developed an automated ST25 NFC tag programming solution with automatic NDEF record writing for product data. Temperature monitoring, tamper detection, and usage counters were configured directly on the tags, with secure tag locking applied after programming to prevent unauthorized changes. This eliminated manual tag configuration entirely, improving both deployment speed and consistency.
Mobile and Web Platform for Field and Office Operations
Fulcronix built a mobile application for NFC scanning and field operations, paired with a web-based supply chain management platform covering inventory management and packing workflows. Product authentication happens through direct NFC tag verification, with full tracking across the supply chain and integrated theft and tamper monitoring.
End-to-End Product Provenance
The combined platform gives collectors, distributors, and retailers complete product provenance through secure product history and movement tracking, turning a single NFC tag into a verifiable record of a bottle's entire journey.

At the center of the system is the combination of a locked, tamper-evident NFC tag and a connected software platform that verifies it instantly. A bottle scanned anywhere in the supply chain returns a verified identity, its full history, and confirmation it hasn't been tampered with, replacing manual, trust-based verification with something provable.
